The terms of use and sale.

The Household Book is a trading name of Geokits Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, number 16306007. Registered office: Office 9650, 321-323 High Road, Chadwell Heath, Romford, Essex, England, RM6 6AX.

These terms cover your use of this website and, if you buy the book, the purchase. By using the site or buying the book you agree to them. Card payments are processed by Stripe on a checkout page that Stripe hosts. The files are delivered by us, from this website, by personal download links. Your contract for the book is with us.

The book is sold as a set of digital files: the screen edition, the print edition and the First Week, as described on the book page. Nothing is printed or shipped by us. The price is set in United States dollars and is the price shown on the page when you buy. Where sales tax applies to a digital purchase in your state, it is worked out and shown at the checkout before you confirm.

The files are delivered immediately after payment, by a download link on screen and the same links by email. Links work for thirty days. If a link expires or a file will not open, write to hello@householdbook.com from the address you bought with and we will send it again.

One purchase is a license for one household. Use the files on as many of your own devices as you like, print them as many times as you need, and keep them for as long as you like. The book you fill in is yours: give the completed pages to your spouse, your children, your executor, or anyone else you choose, on paper or as a file. That is what it is for.

What we ask you not to do is pass on, post, upload or sell the blank files themselves, or use them to make a product of your own. Each file carries the email address it was bought with. If somebody else wants a copy for their house, send them here. If you want copies for more than one household, for a congregation, a workplace or a practice, write and ask, because there is a proper answer and it is not expensive.

Nothing you type into the screen edition is sent to us, and we cannot see, recover or restore it. You are responsible for saving the file, backing it up, deciding where the printed book is kept, and deciding who is told where it is. We recommend keeping the completed file somewhere the person who will need it can reach without a password, which is the whole argument of the book.

If the book is not right for your house, write to us within thirty days of buying and we refund you in full. We may ask what was missing, so the next edition is better, but the refund does not depend on the answer. A file that will not open, a book that is not what this site said it was, or a mistake in the pages themselves are faults rather than changes of mind, and we put those right whenever they are found. The refunds page says how.

The words, the drawings and the design of this site and of the book belong to us. You may read, link to and quote the site. Please do not copy it wholesale, scrape it, attempt to reach the files without a link we issued, or use it in a way that would interfere with anyone else using it. The download links are personal and expire; sharing one shares your own name.

We do our utmost to be accurate and we correct errors quickly when they are found, but the book is a general organizer written for a whole country, and it cannot know your circumstances. It is provided as it is, and to the fullest extent the law allows we do not promise that it is suitable for any particular purpose or that it is free of errors.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the book or this website is limited to the amount you paid us. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including anything that follows from information you did or did not record in the book. Some states do not allow some of these limitations, so some of them may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing removes any right you have as a consumer under the law of the state or country you live in.

If something is wrong, write to us first. Nearly everything is put right by email within a few days. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. That does not remove any protection you have under the consumer law of the state or country you live in, and it does not stop you bringing a claim in your local small claims court.
